Rust and Roses
The boys and I took a little road trip to Phoenix this past weekend. First stop, my favorite store in Phoenix, Rust and Roses.
Beautiful displays!!
And an outside area with tons of fabulous vintage garden elements!!!
I came home with some
fabulous new things for
the Urban Barn. (I will be
posting pictures soon.)

A few pictures from our sale.
I am always drawn to chairs.
They can make such a huge statement!!
This chair has great bones. I love when you take the upholstry off and find burlap or linen. Such a wonderful surprise!!!
I have just a few cow tag necklaces left.
Sherry brought fun new number pillows, new slips and t-shirts.
New vendor Colleen had huge success and a few of her old customers were delighted to find her!!
She passed her talent along to daughter Emma,
who made these necklaces.
Hope to see you soon,
Sandra

Inspiration
Since starting my blog, I have realized how much I enjoy taking pictures. Here a few things around my house that I love and that inspire my design.
Crowns
French Zinc Pots
I can't seem to get enough of them!
Nests, eggs, and shells
nature does it best
Old silver
never polish
I love this old toy train stop sign!
This old typewriter is one of the first things I bought to sell, but decided to keep.
Architectural elements are my passion.
That's a whole other post!
Old glass bottles
I really love when they change color.
Old clocks, locker baskets
the rustier the better!
Hydrangeas are my favorite!
beautiful dried as well
I have an obsession with French documents.
I have used them in several projects
including candles, pillows, mirrors and even my business card.
French document fabric from Ballard Design
These are a few of my favorite things.
What inspires you?

Pretty in Pink
The Pink House Antiques sale was a celebration of creative people coming together to sell their latest creations.
This is Darla, who is always on the cutting edge, wearing one of her latest crown.
Her bottles are the best I've seen.
Glamour girl Sherry, came and brought some of her fabulousness!
Lucy and Tony from Paris Flea Market came and brought their dog, Winston.
worked hard
pulling it all together.
A few of our loyal friends stopped by.
Alexa and Colleen
Katie
Beth, who shares my love
for Audrey, came for a
visit as well.
She is an editor for
several magazines,
including Jewelry Affaire,
which is coming out soon.
We also met some new friends.
Being across the street from the beach in a bright pink house, you never know who will stop by.
It is always so rejuvenating being around creative and supportive people.
Thank you Jeanne and Sweetpea!!!
